Larry Deckman, President

Larry Deckman, is an attorney in private practice and an inventor.

Jennifer Geller, Vice-President

Jennifer Geller is an Instructor at the University of Oregon, holds a law degree from the University of Washington and is the former Lane County Chair of Stand for Children. She also serves on the Eugene School Board.

Anita Larson, Secretary

Anita Larson is a retired Springfield elementary school teacher, Board of Directors member for Oregon Association of Rowers and Covered Bridge regatta director, Docent for the Jordan Schnitzer Museum at the U of O and former Board member of the Eugene-Irkutsk, Russia Sister City Committee.

Pam Whyte, Treasurer

Pam Whyte is a CPA and a partner in Emge & Whyte. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountant,  AICPA and Professional Women’s Forum and volunteers for Oregon Social Learning Center, Sponsor’s Inc and Cascades Raptor Center and many other not for profit organizations in the Eugene area.

Connie Regali, Past President

Connie Regali is a Community Volunteer who has served with PTA’s, Relief Nursery, Eugene Symphony Guild, Friends of the Eugene Library and the Fortnightly Club of Eugene.

Doug Bales

Doug Bales is a financial services advisor with Wachovia Securities. He is also a river guide, an historic home renovator, member of Metropolitan Rotary and a former Army officer.

Doug Barber

Doug Barber is a contract lobbyist in Salem representing PeaceHealth and other health care organizations, Lane Transit District and Relief Nurseries.  He previously worked as a television news reporter at KEZI-TV and for The Ulum Group.  Doug also serves on the board of the Oregon Center for Applied Science (ORCAS).  Doug is a graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Divinity School.

Connie Bennett

Connie Bennett is Library Director of the Eugene Public Library.  She holds a Master of Librarianship degree and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Library Management.  She is a member of the American Library Association, the Public Library Association, and the Fortnightly Club of Eugene.  She is a member and past President of the Oregon Library Association, which honored her in 2001 as the Oregon Librarian of the Year.  She is currently serving as Board President of the Lord Leebrick Theatre Company.

Val Close

Val Close has an M.A. in Special Education and is Co-Director of Early Childhood CARES, the early intervention and early childhood special education program in Lane County.

Susan Daniell

Susan Daniell holds Master’s Degrees in Nursing and Public and International Affairs. She has worked with Lane County’s anti-poverty programs and provided primary care to 4J school district employees and their families.

Kim Esrig

Kim Esrig is a former business owner and Executive Recruiter who is currently a Community Volunteer supporting a variety of school and education based programs.

Ann Fidanque

Ann Fidanque is a retired teacher from the Eugene School District whose primary focus was on reading instruction. She coauthored a beginning reading program that is used nationally.

Jenny Jonak

Jenny Jonak is an attorney and private business owner.  She serves as President of the Friends of the Eugene Library and a member of Greenhill Humane Society's Development Committee.  She is also an award-winning wildlife photographer whose work has been featured at the Smithsonian Museum, TIME Magazine, and the Washington Post.

Sherrill Kirchhoff

Sherrill Kirchhoff is a University of Oregon graduate who retired as Scholarship Program Manager with the Oregon Student Assistance Commission. She is a charter member of the Friends of the Eugene Public Library and has served as a consultant to the Oregon Library Association and the Oregon Community Foundation. She is an officer of Altrusa International of Eugene.

Hue-Ping Lin

Hue-Ping Lin holds an M.S. in Educational Psychology and a Ph.D in Art Education from the University of Oregon and is the owner of the White Lotus Gallery.

Sharon Posner

Sharon Posner is a retired television producer and consultant. She is a member of the League of Women Voters of Lane County, The Fortnightly Club of Eugene, and the Lord Leebrick Theatre Advisory Board.

Malcolm Scott

Malcolm Scott is an attorney with Gleaves Swearington Potter & Scott, LLP.

Dan Temmesfeld

Dan Temmesfeld has his MBA from the University of Dayton.  He is a CPA and business assurance manager with Moss Adams LLP.

Jim Olney has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University and has spent over 25 years managing non-profits and is on the faculty of Saint Leo University, where he teaches online.
