I only stumbled on the contest a couple of weeks ago, and was excited to explore an idea I had that expressed the Library as a “quilt” that weaves the community together through shared experiences, imagination and creativity. I am a Eugene resident and frequent user of the library. I read a lot of books and am so happy to be able to get many of them from my local library. I don't have a lot of expendable income, and being able to read as many books as I can take in without the financial burden of paying for each individual one consistently feels like a miracle.
