Thank you to everyone who attended Eugene Public Library Foundation's Booked for the Evening on Saturday, April 25, 2026! We were inspired by the stellar library supporters who came out to help the library to continue to bring more literary stars to Eugene Public Library. Your attendance and participation was out of this world!  

To date, with your support, we have surpassed our event goal with more than $135,000 raised! This total helps set the library to provide quality programming that brings literature to life,  including visits from well loved authors, for patrons of all ages!  

Help us to REALLY shoot for the stars!  The more funds we raise, the more quality programming the library can bring to our community.  If you have friends or family who might like to support this effort, they can mail a check to Eugene Public Library Foundation, 100 W. 10th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97401.  Donations can also be made online via our event donation portal.

We were inspired by library supporters showing up in force to support the Children’s Courtyard expansion at Eugene Public Library. From lightsabers to Jedi robes to Chewbacca costumes, your joyful attendance meant a lot to us!

It was so inspiring to celebrate 20 years in the downtown Eugene Public Library with such a dedicated and generous community of library supporters. Your attendance meant a lot to us! Thank you to our event speakers: Honorary Chair, Kathie Tippens Wiper; Former Library Services Director, Will O’Hearn; Randy Nishimura, AIA, of Robertson Sherwood Architects; and Event Host, Storm Kennedy.

Booked 2022

Here are some scenes from 2022 when we were entertained and inspired to give by Honorary Chair, Mayor Lucy Vinis, author Kim Johnson, and our dynamic host, Eugene City Councilor Matt Keating. Will O’Hearn graciously highlighted how Eugene Public Library has met community needs again and again throughout the pandemic, demonstrating how the Library of Things is expanding access to knowledge even more. And we honored Renee Grube who retired as the executive director of Library, Recreation, and Cultural Services.
